So Close

I had a close encounter with nature, to be exact, an insect. Since young, I have developed insect phobia. I simply freaked out when an insect come close to me. To many, insects are tiny in size, what kind of fear would a human of decent size carry. Well, just like the show 'Fear Factor', I believed everyone has one, if not more fears.

I wouldn't want to complain or whine but even so, please let me do for now, as it's my fear for insect. I was driving to work this morning, 'enjoying' the jammed packed roads and almost always red traffic lights. As usual, before cutting lane, I would look at my side mirror. I was stunned by the 'thing' that was lying on my side mirror. I almost freaked out, luckily my colleague was with me and he calmed me down.

This green insect journeyed with me all the way to office. Along the traffic stops, I began to enjoy its companionship though with least liking towards it. Observing its colour, body parts and moves, I began to adapt to its presence. But still, the last thing I would do is to touch it. During a traffic stop, I decided to capture this beautiful moment of the green friend on my side mirror. Till now, I couldn't forget this green friend of mine, no longer enemy but just an acquaintance.

New found acquaintance
